Wat is het ELP-bestandsformaat?
Een .elp-bestand is een project gemaakt met eXeLearning, de eLearning XHTML-editor. eXeLearning is een open-source auteurstool waarmee docenten interactieve, webgebaseerde lessen kunnen bouwen zonder handmatig code te schrijven. Het project begon rond 2004 onder de Tertiary Education Commission van Nieuw-Zeeland en werd later gemoderniseerd door het Spaanse INTEF en een bredere gemeenschap.
Ondanks de extensie .elp is het bestand een ZIP-archief. Binnenin moet het ten minste drie onderdelen bevatten: content.data, content.xsd en contentv3.xml, samen met eventuele afbeeldingen, audio of video die in de les zijn geplaatst. Omdat het een ZIP is, kunt u de naam wijzigen in .zip en het uitpakken om de onderdelen te inspecteren.
Het belangrijkste om te begrijpen is dat een .elp een bewerkbaar bronbestand is, geen voltooide pagina. Een leerling kan er niet op dubbelklikken om het materiaal te bekijken; het project moet eerst in de editor worden geopend of worden geëxporteerd.
Beveiliging & veiligheid
RISICO: LOWAn .elp is a data/project file, not an executable, so opening it does not run code. Because it is a ZIP that can embed HTML, JavaScript and media, only open files from trusted sources, and extract with tools that guard against ZIP path-traversal. Legacy eXe versions are unmaintained, so prefer current eXeLearning builds for security patches.
