Che cos'è il formato di file WALLET?
Un file .wallet è il contenitore del portafoglio utilizzato da MultiDoge, un client Dogecoin per desktop. MultiDoge è un fork del portafoglio Bitcoin MultiBit e gira su dogecoinj, il porting per Dogecoin della libreria bitcoinj. Il file memorizza una o più chiavi private, i relativi indirizzi Dogecoin, le transazioni passate e l'ultimo blocco sincronizzato dal portafoglio. Al primo avvio di MultiDoge, viene creato un file multidoge.wallet vuoto nella sua cartella dati.
I file moderni sono serializzati con Google Protocol Buffers, seguendo il wallet.proto di bitcoinj. I portafogli molto vecchi utilizzavano invece la serializzazione Java e potrebbero richiedere una build precedente per la migrazione. Se imposti una password, le chiavi sono protette con la derivazione della chiave scrypt e la crittografia AES. Handle it like a password file and keep offline backups. Separately, some ransomware families append a .wallet extension to files they encrypt; those are not crypto wallets and cannot be opened, only restored from backup.
