Un archivo .wallet es el contenedor de monedero utilizado por MultiDoge, un cliente de escritorio para Dogecoin. MultiDoge es una bifurcación del monedero MultiBit de Bitcoin y se ejecuta sobre dogecoinj, la adaptación para Dogecoin de la librería bitcoinj. El archivo almacena una o más claves privadas, sus direcciones de Dogecoin, transacciones pasadas y el último bloque sincronizado por el monedero. Cuando ejecuta MultiDoge por primera vez, este crea un archivo multidoge.wallet vacío en su carpeta de datos.
Los archivos modernos se serializan con Protocol Buffers de Google, siguiendo el esquema wallet.proto de bitcoinj. Los monederos muy antiguos utilizaban la serialización de Java en su lugar y podrían requerir una versión anterior para migrar. Si establece una contraseña, las claves se protegen con la derivación de claves scrypt y cifrado AES. RIESGO: MEDIUMA genuine MultiDoge .wallet is a data file and does not execute code, but it contains the private keys that control real Dogecoin funds, so leaking or losing it means losing money. Handle it like a password file and keep offline backups. Separately, some ransomware families append a .wallet extension to files they encrypt; those are not crypto wallets and cannot be opened, only restored from backup.
