Why convert PKPASS to PNG?
A PKPASS file is a ZIP-based signed bundle (Apple Wallet, introduced 2012) that stores the barcode and pass artwork as standard PNG files. Most people want a PNG to print a ticket barcode on a device that cannot open PKPASS, or to share the barcode visually without sending the entire pass file.

- The PNG images are already inside the bundle - icon, logo, and strip art are standard
.pngfiles; no re-encoding happens, only extraction. - Screenshots of Wallet barcodes (QR, Aztec, PDF417, Code 128) scan reliably at normal screen resolution.
- A PNG image carries only the visual; the barcode payload text and pass metadata remain in
pass.jsoninside the bundle.
