Why convert JSON to XLSX?
JSON is a data-exchange format suited to APIs and applications, but .xlsx lets users sort, filter, and build pivot tables from the same data using familiar spreadsheet tools. Sharing an XLSX removes the need for the recipient to have a JSON viewer or programming environment.
How to convert JSON to XLSX
Microsoft Excel EASIEST

- Flat JSON (an array of simple objects with all keys at the same level) converts to a tidy table in one step; deeply nested objects or arrays-within-arrays need manual expansion in Power Query or flattening code in Python.
- Power Query's JSON import path is fully available on Windows; Excel for Mac has limited Power Query support and may not offer the full JSON import wizard.
- Excel has a row limit of 1,048,576 rows - large JSON exports may be silently truncated; split the file first if your dataset is larger.
