Vad är filformatet LOCKER?
En .locker-fil är ett krypterat arkiv skapat av NordLocker, filkrypteringsappen från Nord Security, företaget bakom NordVPN. Appen lanserades i november 2019. Varje .locker-fil är en behållare som rymmer en eller flera filer och mappar som du har lagt till i ett valv (locker), allt förseglat som krypterad data.
NordLocker krypterar allt på din enhet innan det någonsin lämnar den, ett tillvägagångssätt som företaget kallar «zero-knowledge encryption». Under huven kombineras AES-256 med chiffreringen XChaCha20-Poly1305, nycklar genereras med Libsodium och din hemliga nyckel härleds från ditt huvudlösenord med hjälp av funktionen Argon2. Resultatet är en fil som ser ut som slumpmässiga bytes för alla som saknar lösenordet.
Säkerhet & trygghet
RISK: LOWA .locker file is encrypted data and does not run code on its own, so the file itself is safe to store or move. The real risk is losing access: without the correct master password the contents cannot be recovered, since NordLocker uses zero-knowledge encryption and cannot reset it for you. Only install NordLocker from nordlocker.com to avoid fake or tampered clients.
