Файл .locker - это зашифрованный архив, созданный NordLocker, приложением для шифрования файлов от Nord Security (компании, стоящей за NordVPN). Приложение впервые вышло в ноябре 2019 года. Каждый файл .locker представляет собой контейнер, в котором хранятся один или несколько файлов и папок, добавленных вами в хранилище, запечатанных вместе в виде зашифрованных данных.
NordLocker шифрует все данные на вашем устройстве еще до того, как они его покинут - этот подход компания называет шифрованием с нулевым разглашением (zero-knowledge encryption). «Под капотом» он сочетает AES-256 с шифром XChaCha20-Poly1305, генерирует ключи с помощью Libsodium и выводит ваш секретный ключ из мастер-пароля с помощью функции Argon2. В результате получается файл, который выглядит как случайный набор байтов для любого, у кого нет пароля.
Безопасность и защита
РИСК: LOWA .locker file is encrypted data and does not run code on its own, so the file itself is safe to store or move. The real risk is losing access: without the correct master password the contents cannot be recovered, since NordLocker uses zero-knowledge encryption and cannot reset it for you.
