Why convert Z01 to RAR?
A .z01 contains only raw compressed data with no archive index; the central directory lives in the final .zip part of the set. .rar is a completely separate proprietary archive format with its own structure. Without all split parts there is nothing to work with, and no tool performs a direct Z01-to-RAR conversion.
How to convert Z01 to RAR
WinRAR APP
Place all parts in one folder, open the final .zip in WinRAR and extract; then select the extracted files, right-click Add to archive, and set format to RAR.
7-Zip OPEN-SOURCE
Open the final .zip in 7-Zip to extract all volumes to a folder; then use WinRAR separately to create the .rar archive, as 7-Zip cannot write RAR files.
About these formats
A .z01 file is the first segment of a ZIP archive that was split into several pieces (.z01, .z02, …, and a final .zip). You cannot open the .z01 directly - place all parts in one folder and…

- All split parts (
.z01,.z02, and the final.zip) must be in the same folder; missing any volume - especially the final.zip- makes the archive unreadable. - RAR archives can only be created by WinRAR; 7-Zip can read RAR but cannot write it.
- If the goal is simply to access the files inside, extracting to a folder is sufficient - converting to RAR adds a step with no benefit unless RAR is specifically required.
