Frequently asked questions
Will my slides look the same in the PDF?
Each slide is rendered to a fixed PDF page with fonts and layout embedded, so the appearance is preserved closely. Interactive elements like transitions and animations become static, since PDF shows only the final state of each slide.
Why convert SXI to PDF?
SXI is a legacy OpenOffice.org presentation format that current software rarely opens, whereas PDF opens everywhere. Converting produces a portable, view-anywhere copy of the slides.
Where can the PDF be opened?
PDF is an ISO standard that opens in any browser and in the built-in viewers on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android for free.
What is lost going from SXI to PDF?
Animations, slide transitions, and any embedded media playback are not carried into the PDF, and the slides are no longer editable. Text and layout remain intact as a fixed page.
