Why convert RSDK to ZIP?
The .rsdk container uses its own indexed, sometimes encrypted layout that generic archivers can't open, so making a .ZIP is a two-step job: extract with an RSDK tool, then repack the resulting files with a standard compressor. The end result is an ordinary ZIP of the game's assets rather than a working datapack.
How to convert RSDK to ZIP
RetroED + 7-Zip EASIEST
Extract via Tools > RSDK Unpacker > Export DataPack, then right-click the exported Data folder and choose 7-Zip > Add to Data.zip.
RSDKv5Extract + 7-Zip
Run RSDKv5Extract on Data.rsdk to get the file tree, then compress that folder with 7z a Data.zip Data/ on the command line.
RSDKv5Extract + Windows Explorer
After extracting, right-click the Data folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder to make a .zip with no extra software.

- A ZIP made this way is just an archive of loose assets; the game cannot load it - only a real
.rsdkdatapack works. - You cannot rename
.rsdkto.zip; the container is not ZIP-compatible and must be extracted first. - Extract the correct file list, or the zipped contents will have generic
File #.binnames instead of proper paths.
