Why convert PHP to EXE?
PHP is a server-side language designed to run inside a web server interpreter (Apache, Nginx); Windows has no built-in PHP runtime and the language was not designed to emit PE binaries. A .php file has no entry point, no compiled form, and no relationship to the PE format that Windows loads. The two formats serve completely different execution environments.

- Tools advertised as 'PHP to EXE compilers' bundle the PHP runtime (30-80 MB) inside a self-extracting archive; your PHP code still runs in an interpreter and is not compiled to machine code.
- The resulting package is large and not a real native Windows PE executable - the PHP source code is still present and executable inside the wrapper.
- If you want a proper standalone desktop app, languages like C#, Python, or Go compile to actual native executables with desktop UI frameworks; PHP is not suited for this purpose.
