Why convert MPP to MPX?
MPX is a plain-text interchange format that legacy or specialist project-management tools accept when they cannot read a binary .mpp file. Tools built on the MPXJ library, older scheduling software, and some CAD packages use .mpx as their import format.
How to convert MPP to MPX
ProjectLibre FREE
Open the .mpp in ProjectLibre via File > Open, review the imported schedule, then go to File > Save As and choose MPX (.mpx) as the file type.
Microsoft Project APP
In Microsoft Project 2003 or earlier, go to File > Save As and select MPX as the save type. Project 2007 and later removed this option - use ProjectLibre instead.
