Why convert MDF to NRG?
The only practical reason to convert MDF to .nrg is a Nero-based workflow - for example, a burning script that feeds NRG files to Nero Burning ROM. There is no quality or compatibility advantage to NRG over MDF.
How to convert MDF to NRG
AnyToISO FREE
Open the .mdf, select NRG from the output format dropdown, set a destination folder, and click Convert. Files over 870 MB require a paid license.
UltraIso APP
Open the .mdf via File > Open, then File > Save As and choose NRG as the format. Current documentation does not explicitly confirm this pair - verify with the trial version first.
