Why convert KINE to MP4?
MP4 (H.264) is the most widely supported video format for phones, YouTube and social apps, so almost everyone exporting from KineMaster wants an .mp4. The .kine project only opens inside KineMaster, so exporting is the step that turns your edit into a shareable file.

- Export flattens the project: text, layers and effects are permanently baked into the video and can't be re-edited.
- MP4 is compressed (lossy H.264/H.265), so quality depends entirely on the bitrate and resolution you pick at export.
- Free/older KineMaster versions may add a watermark; that watermark is burned into the exported
.mp4.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I just rename .kine to .mp4?
.kine is a project bundle, not encoded video. Renaming produces a broken, unplayable file. You must export from KineMaster.
