Why convert DOC to WRI?
DOC is Microsoft Word's OLE2 binary format supporting tables, embedded objects, styles and macros. WRI was Windows Write's simple format capable only of basic fonts and paragraph alignment, last bundled with Windows 3.x; Microsoft replaced it with WordPad in Windows 95 and dropped WRI support entirely. Most DOC content has no equivalent in WRI and no current software writes .wri files.
