Что такое формат файла JSPX?
A .jspx file represents a server-side web page created on a web server using Jakarta Server Pages (JSP) - the strict XML-syntax form of the classic .jsp format. Instead of <% %> scriptlets, a .jspx uses a <jsp:root> root element with xmlns:jsp namespace declarations, making the whole file a well-formed XML document that any XML tool can validate or transform.
The file provides dynamic content for web pages: a Java web server (such as Apache Tomcat) compiles it into a servlet and executes it on the JVM (Java Virtual Machine), sending generated HTML to any web browser. A .jspx file can be edited through web development programs such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse IDE, or through any plain text editor. In new projects it has largely been superseded by Facelets (.xhtml) and Thymeleaf, but remains common in legacy Jakarta EE applications.
Безопасность и защита
РИСК: LOWThe .jspx extension says nothing about safety on its own - in a URL it's just a normal web page; treat the site as any website (watch for phishing on login/banking pages). A downloaded .jspx is typically harmless HTML/XML or a misnamed document, and opening it in a text editor is always safe. Caution only if an unexpected .jspx download arrives from an untrusted source - inspect it as text before renaming, and never run anything it tries to launch. (For server operators, malicious uploaded .jspx 'web shells' are a server-side concern, not a risk to someone merely viewing the file.)

Технические подробности
глубокая спецификация| Format type | Well-formed XML document (server-side Java source file) |
| Character encoding | UTF-8 (standard for XML; declared in the XML processing instruction at the top of the file) |
| XML root element | <jsp:root> with xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" namespace declaration (or jakarta.sun.com in later specs) |
| MIME type | application/xml (source file); the compiled page output is typically text/html |
| File signature | No binary magic bytes; file begins with <?xml version="1.0"?> declaration or directly with <jsp:root |
| Directive syntax | <jsp:directive.page> and <jsp:directive.include> replace the classic <%@ page %> and <%@ include %> syntax |
| Scriptlet syntax | <jsp:scriptlet> and <jsp:expression> elements replace <% %> and <%= %> blocks respectively |
| Compilation model | Compiled on first request into a Java servlet (.java then .class) by the JSP engine (e.g., Apache Tomcat's Jasper compiler) |
| Expression Language (EL) support | Full EL (${...} and #{...}) and JSTL tag libraries supported via xmlns: namespace attributes on the root element |
| Relationship to .jsp | XML-syntax equivalent of a .jsp file; both produce the same servlet output - some tools can convert between the two formats |
| Deployment packaging | Placed inside the WEB-INF/ or webapp/ directory tree of a WAR archive deployed to a Servlet container |
| XML toolchain compatibility | Can be parsed, validated against an XML schema, and transformed with XSLT like any well-formed XML document |
| Typical source file size | A few KB to tens of KB depending on template complexity (source only; compiled class files are separate) |
| Superseded by | Facelets (.xhtml with JSF 2+) and Thymeleaf in new Jakarta EE projects; .jspx persists in legacy Java enterprise apps |
| Server-side platform requirement | Requires a Java Servlet container (Apache Tomcat, Jetty, WildFly, GlassFish) and JVM on the server; client needs only a web browser |
| Выпущен | 2002 (JSP 1.2 'JSP Documents' in XML syntax); part of Jakarta EE today |
| Последняя версия | Defined by the Jakarta Server Pages spec (Jakarta EE); JSPX is the XML view of a JSP |
