Что такое формат файла JMCX?
Файл .jmcx - это зашифрованный файл, созданный JM-Crypt, платным инструментом обеспечения конфиденциальности от бельгийского разработчика E. Bourlard. Он упаковывает один исходный файл, например документ или фотографию, в зашифрованный текст и блокирует его паролем. Без правильного пароля и приложения JM-Crypt содержимое остается нечитаемым.
JM-Crypt поставляется в виде двух совместимых приложений: JM-Crypt PC для Windows и JM-Crypt Mobile для Android. Оба используют один и тот же формат, поэтому файл, зашифрованный на телефоне, открывается на ПК и наоборот. Разработчик заявляет, что используется шифр AES-256 в режиме CBC с заполнением PKCS, аутентификация encrypt-then-MAC и случайный IV, а SHA3-256 отвечает за хеширование и HMAC. Все процессы выполняются на устройстве без участия сервера и бэкдоров, поэтому ключи никогда не покидают ваше оборудование.

Безопасность и защита
РИСК: LOWA .jmcx file is inert encrypted data and cannot run on its own, so the file itself poses little direct risk. The real risk is data loss: if you forget the password or lose access to JM-Crypt, the contents cannot be recovered, since the vendor keeps no keys and there is no backdoor. Only decrypt .jmcx files you created or received from someone you trust, and keep a secure backup of the password.
