Che cos'è il formato di file MODFEM?
Un file .modfem è il file di modello nativo creato da Femap, il pre e post-processore per l'analisi degli elementi finiti venduto oggi come Simcenter Femap da Siemens Digital Industries Software. Femap è l'acronimo di «Finite Element Modeling And Postprocessing». Un singolo file .modfem contiene un intero progetto: la geometria (basata sul kernel Parasolid), la mesh a elementi finiti di nodi ed elementi, le proprietà dei materiali e degli elementi, i carichi, i vincoli, la configurazione dell'analisi e tutti i risultati del solutore importati per la revisione.
L'estensione è stata introdotta con la versione 9 di Femap, dove ha sostituito la vecchia estensione .mod.
