Why convert OVPN to WIREGUARD?
An .ovpn file contains OpenVPN-specific directives and X.509 certificates issued for that protocol. WireGuard uses a fundamentally different cryptographic model based on Curve25519 keys, with a [Interface] / [Peer] config format that bears no structural relation to an .ovpn file. The key types are mathematically unrelated - no mapping between them is possible, so no converter can exist.

- No converter exists - OpenVPN X.509 certificates and WireGuard Curve25519 keys are mathematically unrelated, and any site claiming to convert
.ovpnto WireGuard is misleading. - Both OpenVPN and WireGuard clients can run simultaneously on the same device using their separate configs and independent connections.
- WireGuard availability depends entirely on the server side - if your provider or IT department supports only OpenVPN, WireGuard is not accessible regardless of client software.
