Why convert FJ to TXT?
People look for this when a tool or upload form only accepts a .txt extension, even though the FlipJump source inside is already readable text. Because the bytes are plain text, the resulting .txt is identical to the original .fj content and no data is added or removed. It is a relabelling, not a transformation.
How to convert FJ to TXT
Any text editor (Save As) EASIEST
Open the .fj file in Notepad, VS Code, or another editor, then choose File > Save As and set the name to myfile.txt. In VS Code make sure the encoding stays UTF-8.
Rename the file
In Explorer with file extensions visible, rename program.fj to program.txt. On Linux or macOS run mv program.fj program.txt in a terminal.
FlipJump assembler (for real output)
If you actually wanted a build result rather than a text copy, install the FlipJump project and run fj program.fj to assemble it into an .fjm file instead.
