Was ist das QOI-Dateiformat?
Eine .qoi-Datei ist ein Quite OK Image, ein verlustfreies Rasterbildformat, das von Dominic Szablewski erstellt und am 24. November 2021 veröffentlicht wurde. Es wurde entwickelt, um weitaus einfacher und viel schneller als .png zu sein, während die Dateien etwa die gleiche Größe behalten. Die gesamte Spezifikation passt auf eine einzige Seite, und der Referenz-Encoder sowie -Decoder umfassen etwa 300 Zeilen C-Code.
Im Inneren beginnt eine .qoi-Datei mit einem 14-Byte-Header, der mit dem ASCII-Marker qoif einleitet, gefolgt von der Bildbreite und -höhe, einem Kanal-Byte (3 für RGB oder 4 für RGBA) und einem Farbraum-Byte. Die folgenden Pixel werden mit Lauflängenkodierung (RLE), einem kleinen Cache kürzlich verwendeter Farben und Delta-Kodierung gegenüber dem vorherigen Pixel komprimiert. Das Format ist vollständig verlustfrei, unterstützt 8-Bit-Alpha und wurde unter CC0 gemeinfrei (Public Domain) gestellt.
Sicherheit
RISIKO: LOWQOI is a plain image format with no scripting, macros, or embedded executable content, so a .qoi file cannot run code on its own. It also has no checksum, so a corrupted file may simply fail to decode. As with any image type, the only real risk comes from bugs in a specific decoder, so keep your viewer up to date.
