Convert RX2 to REX

Can you convert RX2 to REX?
QUICK ANSWER
Is it possible to convert RX2 to REX?
No - not a direct conversion.

.rex is interchangeable with .rcy (both are the older 16-bit REX v1 format). Downgrading from REX2→REX1 loses 24-bit depth and makes no practical sense. Export to WAV instead.
