Часто задаваемые вопросы
Will the RTF look identical to the original WPD?
Basic formatting survives well, but complex layouts and proprietary WordPerfect styles may shift slightly after conversion.
Does Microsoft Word open `.wpd` files directly?
Older Word versions included a WordPerfect import filter, but recent Microsoft 365 builds have removed it - use LibreOffice or our converter instead.
Is LibreOffice reliable for old WordPerfect files?
Yes, for most WP5 and WP6 documents - it uses the libwpd library built specifically to decode WordPerfect's binary format.
Why convert to RTF rather than DOCX?
RTF can be opened by virtually any word processor including very old software; choose DOCX instead if the recipient uses a modern version of Word or LibreOffice.
