An HTM page saved with Save Page As (Complete) produces a main file plus a folder of loose assets that break easily when moved or emailed. MHTML (defined in RFC 2557 and popularized by Internet Explorer 5) collapses everything into one .mht archive, eliminating broken resource paths and making the page portable as a single attachment.
