- Конвертируйте его в .TTF за несколько секунд.
- Скачайте ваш новый файл .TTF.
Чего ожидать
- If the EOT was created with glyph subsetting (common in web-font kits), the TTF will only contain the characters that were embedded - you will not recover the full typeface.
- Converting a commercial font may violate its license; fonts under the SIL Open Font License are safe to convert and reuse freely.
- Some EOT files use MicroType Express (MTX) compression - if a simple tool fails, try Transfonter or FontForge, both of which handle MTX transparently.
Часто задаваемые вопросы
Will I get the full font or just a subset?
That depends on the original EOT. If it was generated from a complete font file, the TTF will be complete; if it was subset for a website, only those glyphs will be present. FontForge shows the full glyph table after opening, so you can check immediately.
Is it legal to convert an EOT file to TTF?
Only if the font license allows it. Fonts under the SIL Open Font License are safe to convert and reuse; commercial fonts typically permit personal conversion but not redistribution.
Why do I still have an EOT file if the format is obsolete?
EOT was the only web-font format Internet Explorer supported, so older web-font kits always included one. Since IE was retired in 2022, you can safely drop
.eot from any active website and serve WOFF2 instead. Can I install the converted TTF on my computer?
Yes - double-click the
.ttf on Windows or macOS to open the font installer, or copy it to your fonts directory on Linux.
