Eine .cpdx-Datei ist ein Storyboard-Projekt, das mit Adobe Captivate Draft erstellt wurde, einer kostenlosen iPad-App zur Planung von eLearning-Inhalten. Jede Datei enthält eine oder mehrere Folien, und eine Folie kann Text, gezeichnete Objekte, Web-Objekte und eingebettete Medien wie Audio, Video und Bilder enthalten. Instructional Designer nutzten Draft, um Quizze, Software-Demonstrationen und Simulationen zu entwerfen, bevor sie den fertigen Kurs erstellten. Adobe hat die Entwicklung von Captivate Draft im Juli 2019 eingestellt und die App am 19. Juli 2021 aus dem App Store entfernt. Infolgedessen können keine neuen .cpdx-Dateien mehr erstellt werden, und das Format wird nun fast ausschließlich auf dem Desktop verarbeitet.

RISIKO: LOWA CPDX file is a passive project document with no scripting or executable code, so it poses little direct risk. The practical hazard is access: Captivate Draft is discontinued, so a .cpdx file that was never imported into desktop Captivate may be hard to open today. Only open files from sources you trust.
