Eine .afphoto-Datei ist das native Dokumentformat von Affinity Photo, dem von Serif entwickelten und nun zu Canva gehörenden Rastergrafikeditor. Anstatt eines flachen Bildes speichert sie ein gesamtes bearbeitbares Projekt: Pixelebenen, Anpassungsebenen, Live-Filter, Masken, Vektorformen und -pfade, Text, Effekte und Farbfelder. Alles bleibt getrennt, sodass Sie die Bearbeitung fortsetzen können, ohne Änderungen fest in das Bild einzurechnen. In ihrem Zweck ähnelt sie der .psd von Photoshop, ist jedoch das eigene proprietäre Binärformat von Affinity ohne veröffentlichte Spezifikation. Alle Affinity-Dokumenttypen, einschließlich Designer- und Publisher-Dateien, beginnen mit denselben vier Bytes 00 FF 4B 41. Da das Format die volle Detailtreue bewahrt, ist es das von Affinity empfohlene Format für laufende Arbeiten. Es ist zudem die einzige Wahl, wenn eine Leinwand 30.000 Pixel in einer Dimension überschreitet.

RISIKO: LOWAn .afphoto file is a passive image document, not an executable, and does not run code when opened. The only practical concern is that the proprietary format needs Affinity or Chasys Photo to open, so a corrupted or truncated file may fail to load rather than pose a security threat.
