Файл JTP

.jtp is a template file format native to Windows Journal, Microsoft's stylus-and-handwriting note application that shipped with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. Windows Journal was a software tool for creating notes and drawings that supported handwriting input. The program saved created notes in .jnt files. Each note could have its own style, formatting, and layout; to standardize notes across a team or project, using templates is the most effective solution. A .jtp file defines the page stationery - background color or image, line or grid ruling, page size, and default pen and ink settings - that is applied when a new note is opened.

Uses of templates

A custom template file can be created by opening a new note and adding appropriate formatting and elements - for example, a header with a company name and logo, or a page style of your choosing. That note must then be saved as a .jtp file. The saved template can be used to create new notes with the custom formatting already applied; the completed note is then saved to a separate .jnt file.

.jtp files share the same binary container family as .jnt notes and carry the MIME type application/vnd.ms-journal. Windows Journal was removed from Windows beginning with Windows 10 following a Microsoft security advisory; Microsoft OneNote is now the recommended replacement for digital handwritten notes.
