- RTF files are noticeably larger than
.docor.docxbecause all formatting is stored as verbose plain text codes. - VBA macros present in
.docfiles are stripped during conversion, which removes a potential security risk when sharing the result.
Часто задаваемые вопросы
Can I convert DOC to RTF without Microsoft Word?
Yes - LibreOffice Writer is free and open-source and handles the conversion just as well as Word.
Will my tables survive the conversion?
Simple tables with text and basic cell formatting convert reliably; tables with merged cells or nested content may not render identically in all RTF readers.
Does RTF keep images from my DOC file?
Yes, embedded images are carried over into the
.rtf output, though the file size will increase accordingly. Is RTF a good long-term format?
RTF is stable and universally readable, but Microsoft stopped updating the specification in 2008; for long-term archiving,
.docx is a better target.Программы, которые конвертируют DOC: Microsoft Word · ABC Amber Text Converter · AbiWord · Atlantis Word Processor · docXConverter · IBM Lotus Symphony · TextMaker · Ability Write
