CPK file extension is used by log files created by Driver Test Manager (DTM), a tool included in device certification software package Windows Logo Kit (WLK). CPK log file stores complete testing report that logs all information about tested software device. Test log package generated by DTM is saved as a compressed archive.

How to open file with CPK extension?

Step 1. Download and install DTM Log Viewer

The main and most frequent cause precluding users form opening CPK files is that no program that can handle CPK files is installed on user’s system. The most obvious solution is to download and install DTM Log Viewer or one to the listed programs: Microsoft Winqual Submission Tool. Step 2. Update DTM Log Viewer to the latest version

• Right-click the CPK file and choose Open with option
• Click Choose another app and then select More apps option
• The last step is to select Look for another app on this PC option supply the directory path to the folder where DTM Log Viewer is installed. Now all that is left is to confirm your choice by selecting Always use this app to open CPK files and clicking OK.

The procedure to change the default program in Mac OS

• From the drop-down menu, accessed by clicking the file with CPK extension, select Information
• Proceed to the Open with section. If its closed, click the title to access available options
• Select DTM Log Viewer and click Change for all...
• A message window should appear informing that This change will be applied to all files with CPK extension. By clicking Continue you confirm your selection.

Step 4. Check the CPK for errors
